Efex mission is to represent members’ interests in a way that enables the public to use high quality , safe and effective non-reimbursed medicines, as well as  aiming to create a favorable environment  for the development of the Health Care in Greece.

Mission will be accomplished by focusing its actions on the following strategic targets  :

• To ensure that the self medication will have valuable role to health care and will contribute positively to the improvement of the Greek public health .
• To enhance the access of consumers to non-reimbursed medicines
• To promote the image and reputation of pharmaceutical industry to the Community

Above strategic targets will be accomplished as follows :

• By enabling the exchange of information between its members and  other Health Associations and by supporting their actions whenever it is necessary .
  
  
• By acting as an active representative of the companies that deal with self medication and providing necessary knowledge and information .
  
  
• By promoting positively the image of Pharmaceutical Industry regarding self medication to Community .
  
  
• By taking care of the compliance of our members’ actions to  regulations, in order to enhance the confidence of public and Authorities
  
  
• By supporting the National Health Policy
  
  
• By representing the Greek Pharmaceutical Industry of self medication to country-members of European Union and by developing a strong  and positive collaboration with them
  
  
• By creating and shaping with all Institutional Organization an environment that supports productive collaboration , in order to correspond actively to the real needs of Greek citizens .

Efex counts 20 members that are active in Greece in research, production and marketing of non-reimbursed medicines, dietary products , food supplements and medical instruments.
